Our Roots
Rusty Ace Outfitters was founded in 2026 by Trey Krause, a Kansas native, and Shane Porter, a Texas native, who met playing football at Kansas State University. They started the brand after realizing the hat companies already out there didn't line up with how they actually lived or what they wanted to wear.
The idea was to build premium hats without the crazy markups other hat companies do, bringing Southern and Midwest country culture into a brand built around quality, exclusive designs, and the lifestyle that comes with them, whether that's hunting, spending time outdoors, or enjoying a cold one with good company.
What started as an idea between two teammates became Rusty Ace Outfitters.
